July 11, 2019 — PG&E representatives delivering a slideshow about public safety power shutoffs at this week’s Board of Supervisors meeting got an earful, as supervisors pressed them for answers they didn’t have, raised concerns about more disasters, and, in one case, came close to furious tears.

Government relations rep Alison Talbott and Matt Pender, who runs the company’s community wildfire safety program, were just a few minutes into their speech about what PG&E is doing to prevent catastrophic wildfires when Supervisors Carre Brown and Ted Williams began to ask questions about the regional significance of the approach.
