22nd Annual Big Time Celebration at Coyote Valley on July 6th

On Saturday, July 6th the Coyote Valley Band of Pomo Indians hosted their 22nd Annual Big Time event at the Coyote Valley Rancheria in Redwood Valley. The event featured tribal dancers from around the region, a family Stick Game tournament, jumpy houses for the kids, a vendor market, and a salmon feast. The Big Time was open to all. KZYX spoke with Coyote Valley Tribal Council Member Melinda Hunter, Tribal Chairman Michael Hunter, and Yurok Elder Susie Long. Featured singers are the Northern Pomo Dance Group.
