Diver Dies Along Mendocino Coast

A man died while diving along the Mendocino coast Saturday morning. Mendocino County Sheriff's Captain Greg Van Patten told the Press Democrat authorities were alerted to a diver in distress at Bowling Ball Beach near Point Arena. The man was pulled from the water in a rocky area and despite life saving efforts, he died at the scene. Authorities have not released his name yet.
