Proposition 64, approved by California voters in November 2016, is a complex document that spells out how the state will regulate and tax the cultivation, transportation and sale of cannabis for recreational use.

During the fiscal year 2016-2017 mid-year budget report session at the Mendocino County Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, March 7, 2017, Mendocino County District Attorney David Eyster discussed how marijuana legalization and MRSA (California Medical Marijuana Regulation and Safety Act) have affected his office, the county, and the state.
