Tiny homes are getting some attention in Mendocino County, with the Board of Supervisors as well as the Fort Bragg city planning commission considering their regulations this week.

On Tuesday, the Board of Supervisors heard an informational presentation about proposed standards which will come before the county Planning Commission and then back to the board for final approval. The county’s Planning and Building Services Director Julia Krog said she is working to have tiny home regulations for the unincorporated areas adopted in just a few months.

And in Fort Bragg on Wednesday, the city Planning Commission heard some modification to its tiny homes ordinance, which were necessary to bring it in line with state codes. Their recommendations are also scheduled to move on to the City Council for final adoption this summer.
