Mendocino Coast Audubon Society

Join Pam Huntley, with the Mendocino Coast Audubon Society, to learn about the various species of avian creatures that grace our county.

Pam Huntley has lived on the Mendocino Coast over 35 years. She came in 1984 to conduct a breeding bird census in the pygmy forest for her undergraduate degree from U.C. Santa Cruz. She became the volunteer caretaker for The Nature Conservancy on their Pygmy Forest reserve. She works with the local schools as a Environmental Educator, and is the Education director at the Point Cabrillo Light Station. In the summer she runs Nature Day Camp for kids. For over 3 decades, thanks to the Mendocino Coast Audubon, she has introduced children to her passion for birds in the classroom and to the county through the KZYX radio bird spots.
