Four local school bond measures appear on ballots in Mendocino County, each to be decided by voters in the four school districts on March 3, 2020. They are:

Measure A for the Ukiah Unified School District

Measure B for the Fort Bragg Unified School District

Measure G for the Willits Unified School District

Measure H for the town of Mendocino Unified School District

2/4/2020 Mind Body Health Discussion on Measure C

Measure C asks Coast Health Care District voters to approve a merger between the Mendocino Coast Health Care District and Adventist Health. On Mind Body Health this week Dr. Trotter and Cob talked with Dr. William Miller, chief of medical staff for the Mendocino Coast District Hospital, who supports Measure C.

Election Day is March 3, 2020. Vote by Mail Ballots should arrive the first week of February.

On Tuesday, January 28th the Mendocino Women's Political Coalition, the American Association of University Women, and the Ukiah Daily Journal sponsored a Candidate Forum at the Ukiah City Council Chambers, with the candidates for the First and Second District Mendocino County Supervisors races.

This is a recording of the 2nd District Supervisor Candidates Forum, moderated by Mary Ann Villwock and featuring candidates Maureen Mulheren, Joel Soinila, and Mari Rodin.

On Tuesday, January 28th the Mendocino Women's Political Coalition, the American Association of University Women, and the Ukiah Daily Journal sponsored a Candidate Forum at the Ukiah City Council Chambers, with the candidates for the First and Second District Supervisors races.

This is a recording of the 1st District Supervisor Candidates Forum, moderated by Mary Ann Villwock and featuring candidates James Green, Glenn McGourty, Jon Kennedy and John Sakowicz.

Elections are coming right up, and there are three races for Supervisor in Mendocino County: 1st District (Potter Valley, Redwood Valley, Talmage), 2nd District (Ukiah), and 4th District (Fort Bragg). With Carre Brown of Potter Valley and John McCowen of Ukiah retiring at the end of this term, two new faces are sure to be on the board. Fourth District incumbent Dan Gjerde is facing a challenge from current Fort Bragg Council member Lindy Peters.

1/28/2020 Measure D Forum with Holly Madrigal

On March 3rd, Mendocino County will vote on Measure D, which would create a 10% transient occupancy tax for the unincorporated areas of the county to fund volunteer fire departments. On January 28th, 2020, host Holly Madrigal moderated a discussion about Measure D with 5th District Supervisor Ted Williams and retired Mendocino Fire Chief Ed O'Brien.  Listen to the program here:
