A "Visitor" Center For Cannabis Farmers

Eel River Recovery Project

The Eel River Recovery Project (ERRP) is exploring the idea of an informational "drop in" center at the Willits Hub for sustainable cannabis farmers. They are hosting a discussion about it Friday night, April 14, 2017 at The Hub (formerly the location of the Willits Environmental Center), a shared facility located on Main Street in Willits for several local environmental groups.

A press release issued by the ERRP on April 6 states the "drop in" center would be a place where cultivators in the Eel River watershed could get information on water conservation and water pollution prevention. Friday's discussion will be moderated by Bruce Hilbach-Barger of ERRP and it will be open to other perspectives.

Presenters will include Anna Birkas and Noah Cornell of Village Ecosystems, small organic cannabis farmer Mickey Bailey, Traci Pellar of the Mendocino Wildlife Association, and Pat Higgins of ERRP.

The event will take place on Friday evening, April 14 from 6-9 PM and will be preceded by a fish barbeque.
