A Place To Call Home: Four Stories

July 17, 2018 -- In this episode of "A Place To Call Home," we'll hear from four people about their experiences with homelessness. Karla Sylvester had gotten a job as a live-in caregiver, right before I met her. She talks about her work in the forests and on crabbing boats, and how hard it is to rely on other people for half of one's living expenses.

Dale Kleinsorge talks about living with serious health problems on the street, and how hard it is to stay safe.

A woman who asked us not to use her name reflects on the world she'd like her new grandchild to inherit. And another man, who also asked to be anonymous, talks about how a combination of tragedy and heavy drinking led to him sleeping in his truck outside of town.
