Emerald Cup Part 2- The Mendocino Appellations Project

The Mendocino Appellations Project (MAP) had a booth at the Emerald Cup this year, and Genine Coleman, the executive director of the project, and others talked about their ongoing work, and some of the challenges for their organization and for farmers during the last year. They’ve been working with local cannabis farmers and activists, as well as county and state officials to define specific geographic areas which cultivators will be allowed to identify and market their crop with, similar to what’s done in the wine industry.
