It looks like the Lake County government is going to cleanup the area's abandoned cars as the Board of Supervisors cleared up more than $350,000 dollars in vehicle abatement fees last week.

 

According to Lake County news, the funding will go towards removing cars in the unincorporated part of the county and the cities of Lakeport and Clearlake. The fees reportedly come from a $1 registration fee added mutually by the county and the cities back in 1991.

 

Cannabis regulations are currently being discussed in cities across Mendocino and Lake Counties.  Tonight on the Kzyx news at 6:00 pm, we explore plans in Willits to potentially repeal the ban on cannabis operations within city limits.  

Children impacted by the Clayton fire received early Christmas presents this past weekend, thanks to a toy drive organized by a group of friends. From the Brick Hall in Lower Lake Sunday, presents were distributed to 31 families and more than 50 children impacted by the August fire.
