June 19, 2020 — Last year, a Ukiah couple made a troubling discovery when they found a "Caucasian clause" embedded in the deed of the West Side home they were intending to purchase. Reporter Carole Brodsky looks at the history of these racial covenants, and how the family addressed the task of removing the troubling language from their deed.
