Breaking News: Storm-related Power Outages

Power outages are reported due to trees that have fallen as a result of the storm

The following reports are all sourced from PG&E. As of Friday night, all major outages in the county have been solved except for two.

Power Outages Affecting Multiple Customers —

  • 97 customers along the Philo-Greenwood Road have been without power since 10:22 p.m. on Nov. 21
  • 197 customers along Middle Ridge Road and Albion Ridge Road have been without power since 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 21

Power Restored (Mendocino Coast)

  • 225 customers along Little River Airport Road are without power. The outage was reporting to PG&E at 8:15 a.m. on Nov. 22 (resolved Nov. 22)
  • 372 customers in the Village of Mendocino and along Little Lake Road have been without power since 2:17 a.m. on Nov. 22 (resolved Nov. 22)
  • 56 customers off of Caspar-Orchard road have been without power since 3:06 a.m. (resolved Nov. 22)
  • 524 customers off of Mitchell Creek Drive have been without power since 10:00 p.m. on Nov. 21 (resolved Nov. 22)
  • South of Fort Bragg: 588 PG&E customers who live north of Jefferson Way lost power around 2:15 a.m. on Nov. 21; off of Ocean View Drive, just north of Highway 20, 143 customers lost power starting at 10:25 p.m; 524 customers who live along Simpson Lane lost power at 9:09 p.m. on Nov. 21 — their estimated time of restoration is 10 p.m. tonight, Nov. 22 (resolved Nov. 22)
  • In Fort Bragg proper, 720 PG&E customers are without power east of Main Street, the outage was reported at 8:49 a.m. on Nov. 22; there is another power outage that was reported at 1:46 a.m. on Nov. 22 that is affecting 462 PG&E customers (resolved Nov. 22)
  • North of Fort Bragg at the airport, 58 PG&E customers reported losing power at 10:45 p.m. on Nov. 21. Their estimated restoration time is 10:00 p.m. on Nov. 22.; near MacKerricher State Park and the town of Cleone, 720 people are without power in an outage that was reported at 8:49 a.m. (resolved Nov. 22)
  • Nov. 21 Power is out for more than 35 PG&E customers in the vicinity of Standish Hickey State Recreation Area and further south down Highway 101. The outage started at 2:23 p.m. (Resolved by 6:20 p.m.)
  • Nov. 21 Power is out for 77 PG&E customers in the vicinity of Albion Ridge Road. The power went out on Wednesday evening at 11:47 p.m., estimated time for restoration is Thursday at 4 p.m. (Resolved by 6:20 p.m.)
  • Power is out for 75 PG&E customers in the Mitchell Creek Drive Area near Caspar. The power went out Wednesday evening at 11:04 p.m. (Resolved early - as of the latest KZYX News update at 12:54 p.m.)
  • Power is out for 2,698 customers on the coast who live in areas from Caspar to Little River. The power went out at 3:17 p.m. for those near Caspar and 3:28 p.m for those in the Mendocino and Little River areas. (Resolved as of latest KZYX News update)
  • Power is out for 119 PG&E customers who live south of Fort Bragg in the Pearl Drive area. (Resolved as of latest KZYX News update)
  • Power is out for 55 customers north of Westport in the areas of Dehaven and Hardy. Their power went out at 2:52 p.m. (Resolved as of latest KZYX News update)
  • At 11:02 a.m. an outage was reported in the area of Westport, affecting 205 customers. (Resolved by 5:11 p.m)
  • Mackerricher State Park and Cleone are currently without power, according to PG&E. The outage started at 9:23 a.m. and is currently affecting 112 customers. (Resolved by 5:11 p.m.)
  • 75 customers lost power in the area of Mitchell Creek Drive in Caspar after a power line came down. The incident was reported at 5:21 a.m. . Estimated restoration time is 3 p.m. (Resolved by 1:45 p.m.)
  • The City of Fort Bragg lost power at 9:23 a.m., affecting 1,363 customers. Note: This info is from PG&E. Police Chief Neil Cervenka was not aware of an outage. According to PG&E the outage in the city was solved by 11:24 a.m. (and possibly earlier).
  • Homes on both sides of Highway 1 between Little River and Albion lost power at 3:01 a.m. 152 customers were affected. As of 7:57 a.m., PG&E say the power has been restored.
  • One customer on Prairie Way in Caspar, CA lost power. The incident was reported at 7:50 a.m. and the power was restored by 8:00 a.m.
