Congratulations to Kris and Paul Reiber of Caspar, the winners of the KZYX quilt!

The quilt was created using KZYX bandanas designed by Willi Delta Moore, a graphic artist who now lives on the Big Island, Hawaii. It features some of the flora of Mendocino County.

The project was conceived by KZYX General Manager Marty Durlin, pieced and constructed by Mendocino seamstress Sallie Brown of Little River, and quilted by Point Cabrillo Longarm quilter Cindi Jo Willey.

The design of the quilting is based on the sound waves of the top-of-the-hour KZYX ID: “KZYX Philo at 90.7 FM, KZYZ Willits and Ukiah at 91.5 FM, and Fort Bragg at 88.1 FM.”

The quilt was raffled off in 2023 by KZYX to benefit the KZYX-Z building project at 390 West Clay Street in Ukiah. Paul and Kris bought their tickets at an Oak & Thorn concert at the Little River Inn, produced by KZYX volunteers Tim Bray and Catherine Keegan.

A great community effort. Thanks, everyone!
