Wildoak Living Mon Sep 22 at 9am: WATER SAVING SECRETS & THE CELLO TROUBADOUR
Tune in to WILDOAK LIVING, the radio program about living sustainably and building community in Mendocino County and beyond.
On Monday, September 16 at 9:00 AM Pacific Time:
1. WATER SAVING SECRETS
2. "THE CELLO TROUBADOUR" - DANIEL SPERRY
My first guest is master gardener Louisa Aronow. We will talk about a workshop coming up in Ukiah
to learn how to grow vegetables, fruit trees, herbs and flowers and have a beautiful yard using drip irrigation,
legal grey water systems, mulch, and water thrifty plants. The event is sponsored by UCCE Mendocino County Master Gardeners
and the City of Ukiah Water Utility and includes a walking tour of some water saving gardens in Ukiah.
My second guest is "The Cello Troubador" Daniel Sperry. Daniel Sperry creates musical portraits that combine
the haunting beauty of the cello and selected poetry by Rumi, Hafiz, William Stafford, David Whyte, Pablo Neruda and others.
Daniel is an innovative, genre-stretching cellist, composer, and evocateur from Ashland, Oregon, who performs poetry along with his original music,
opera arias, and standards. He is presenting an afternoon of inspirational music and poetry on Sunday, Sept. 22nd in Ukiah.
