If you were listening the Radio Lab from 6-7 on Saturday, unfortunately you were unable to hear the end of the story about the WWI Christmas Truce.  Unfortunately, the file from Radio Lab was corrupted and we didn't know it and the file just ended early.  Our automation system didn't know that it ended early, it just thought it ended on time, so it cut over to the next thing, which was Mary giving a lost pet report.  Some people thought it was Mary live and made some rather nasty calls about it.  But it wasn't her live; she would never do that.

We regret that this happened.  And we're sorry for how it messed up your listening experience of  very compelling story.

Not an excuse, but during the past several days we have been changing our main control console as well as the automation system itself here at the Philo studio.  If you ever came to this facility, it would not surprise you that installations are usually harder than they should be, because the wiring in this place is just crazy with layer upon layer of wires from past installations that were never removed, as well as current wiring that somehow works but doesn't make much sense.  It's hard to explain.

But anyway, it has taken several all-nighters to get this new gear up and working so everything "talks" to it, and we still aren't done.  Unfortunately, the end of Radio Lab was an error we missed in the process.
