The 2015 MCPB Board of Directors Election

KZYX (Mendocino County Public Broadcasting) is holding elections for its Board of Directors.  To apply and to vote you must be a member in good standing by December 31.  There are three positions open: one each for Districts 2 (Ukiah) & 5 (Southern part of the County), and one At-Large seat.  Follow this link for more information.

On the July 29th show, Jeff and Doug are joined by their guest Julie Greene, Executive Director of Solar Cookers International.  Solar Cookers International is a 25 year old nonprofit, non-governmental organization that spreads solar cooking awareness and skills worldwide, particularly in areas with plentiful sunshine and diminishing sources of cooking fuel.  We'll be talking solar cooking strategies and equipment, their mission and the impact of their work in emerging nations.  Listen to the podcast via this link: Solar Cooking Show
