In the seven years I've been doing this show playing Hawaiian music on KZYX & Z, I've always acknowledged the  inspiration for Na Mele O Hawaii, my mother Felicitas Alfiche Arago. I would also always mention that she was always listening to the show on our internet stream. Unfortunately my mom passed away last month after a long battle with cancer. She was the greatest influence in my life, sharing the culture she grew up with coming from the small town of Kahuku on Oahu's Northeast side. And it is because of her I've been sharing the music I grew up with with the listeners of KZYX & Z. 

Join me on Sunday February 24th at 2 p.m. as I pay tribute and honor my mother with the music she loved and I heard while growing up with this incredibly gracious and giving woman.
