My guest on this program is Thom van Dooren, environmental philosopher and anthropologist at the University of New South Wales, Australia. His research is situated in the interdisciplinary field of the environmental humanities, focusing on some of the many philosophical, ethical, cultural and political issues that arise in the context of species extinctions. He is the author most recently of Flight Ways: Life and Loss at the Edge of Extinction, and his previous book is Vulture.
